JANANEETHI STALL ON POORAM EXHIBITION GROUND IS A CENTRE OF ATTRACTION

April 13, 2015 - Thrissur Pooram Exhibition Ground - 4.00 p.m.

Nishanthini IPS, the Commissioner of Police, Thrissur formally opened the Jananeethi pavilion on Thrissur Pooram exhibition grounds at 4 pm on Monday the 13th April 2015. The members of the Board and Executive Committee of Jananeethi, representatives of civil society groups, law students of Thrissur Law College and Jananeeti staff attended the function.

This is the fourth time Jananeethi is putting up a stall in connection with the Thrissur Pooram. The exhibition was open for 7 weeks, from 1st April to 25st May and attracted not less than half a million people across the country.

The stall has been given to Jananeethi by the Pooram Exhibition Committee free of cost. Jananeethi is the service provider of State Social Welfare Board for giving appropriate services to victims of domestic and gender based violence; and also protection to children, disabled and old age people.

Jananeethi was able to take up the huge task of running a stall from 10 am to 9 pm on every day involving several volunteers and legal consultants. Jananeethi published a hand book on law for the general public 'NIYAMAM ARIYAN' was available at the stall.
