Jananeethi -Tamil Nadu Chapter begins at Coimbatore.

With over 15 years of experience in enabling common man to seek social justice and establish equity in all spheres of human experience, Jananeethi expanded its physical reach to the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu. An office was started on 2nd of October 2006 at Trichy Road, Coimbatore on the invitation offered by Coimbatore Ayurvedic Pharmacy and the initiative being supported by Ramanathapuram Welfare Society.
The inaugural session witnessed the presence of dedicated human rights defenders and social workers who welcomed the gesture and extended their goodwill and co-operation. Former Prosecution General of Tamil Nadu Shri Kuppuswamy inaugurated the office. Present on the occasion were Prof K.G.Sankara Pillai, Chairman Jananeethi, Members of Board of Directors and Executive Committee members of Jananeethi, General Manager of Coimbatore Ayurvedic Pharmacy Shri Vijayakumar and Adv Geetha Selvaraj. Initially, the new chapter shall provide free legal aid and assistance and engage in campaign against domestic violence and put forth efforts towards gender justice, child rights, public health, environmental advocacy, encouraging people’s participation towards establishing litigation free zones etc.
